Many people rightly consider sex to be an important part of their daily lives, yet in the area of disability sex is rarely talked about.
With more and more celebrities coming forward to speak about mental health due to upsetting events in their lives, we thought it was time to explore the links between being disabled and if/how this can be linked to trauma.
Well, that title has a bit of a ‘crazy’ feel about it doesn’t it? ‘Being committed’, is committing to therapy crazy?No.
It’s important to address some myths about therapy first.
Helping unemployed people with disabilities off benefits is a hot topic at present. We support the desire to enable disabled people (people disabled by society, not just their impairments) to access work. However, we are concerned with how this is being done and the detrimental impact on the wellbeing of people with physical disabilities.
